Sesil Construction Academy
Sesil Construction Academy is dedicated to empowering construction industry stakeholders through professional development. The company aims to resolve construction-related issues through training utilizing practical information gathered from leading industry professionals. We impart skills and knowledge through formal training using current and relevant information gained from practical experience. Our courses are targeted at all construction stakeholders and are designed to bridge the gap in technical skills, human capital, and financial capacity. Our trainees are equipped to better deal with under-pricing, cashflow challenges, mismanagement of funds, poor time management, poor-quality assurance systems, and corruption.
We aim to impart knowledge utilizing experience which cuts across various construction disciplines such as Quantity Surveying, Contract Management, Project Management, Health and Safety. Our core team brings hands-on experience from projects such as mass housing, luxury estate houses, warehouses, show grounds, sewer and water treatment plants, single and multiple multistorey private and public projects, sports fields, and roads.

Key Team Members
Silent Rusere, QS and CM
Our Principal, Mr. Silent Rusere is an experienced INQS Member, Chartered Quantity Surveyor (MRICS), RICS Registered Valuer, Namibia Estate Agents Board Member, and Project Manager with over twelve years of experience in tendering and managing concurrent civil, commercial, industrial, residential, and mixed-use construction projects. He is a Professional Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, which is internationally renowned for providing governments and the construction industry with the highest standard of service and expertise.
His portfolio in Quantity Surveying and Contract Management includes the construction of more than 640 mass housing units, more than 45 houses in estates such as Finkenstein, warehouses, show grounds, sewer and water treatment plants, single and multiple multistorey private and public projects, sports fields, and roads.
Johannes Groenewald, PM & Mentor
Mr. Groenewald is a highly regarded Construction Professional and Mentor with more than 40 years of experience in the construction industry. He has a degree and postgraduate degree in education and a lot of post graduate qualifications in construction. He is the Owner of J. Groenewald Properties, a property developer, Estate Agent, Building and Civil Construction Company that originated out of a previously disadvantaged member of the Namibian Society.
He started off his company as a one-man concern building houses since 1991 and became a Close Corporation in 1998 and started off with bigger complex projects in Government and Private sector. His successes is hinged on Safety, Client Satisfaction, Timely Service Delivery, Quality Control and effective Cost Management.
Elmer Chimedza, PrQS, Assoc Arb
Mr. Elmer Chimedza is a qualified Professional Quantity Surveyor who is a member of the Institute of Namibia Council for Architects and Quantity Surveyors, INQS, and an Associate member of the Institute of Arbitrators, with at least twelve years of experience. He has been involved in quantity surveying and project management on a variety of projects for both the private and public sectors, including multistory buildings, bulk water, pump stations, and civil engineering projects for up to N$730 million.
His core strength is problem solving as a result of his diverse employment history having been employed by a developer, independent quantity surveying consultant firms and currently employed by a large building and civil engineering contractor.
